Automated Storage/Retrieval System (AS/RS) is a warehouse that stores goods horizontally across the entire area. It is controlled by a computer system and a highly accurate Warehouse Management System (WMS) software. This system maximizes the utilization of space, making it suitable for warehouses that need to increase storage capacity and have a high volume of incoming and outgoing goods. It also helps reduce the number of employees and the time lost in operations.
There are two types of goods storage:
- Unit Load (for storing palletized goods)
- Mini Load (for storing small-sized goods like boxes, baskets, or trays)
